The Green Team
Working towards making sure we are operating the zoo in the most environmentally sustainable way possible, making the zoo an educational resource for sustainable practices, and setting an example for the community.
Green Team 2010 Resolutions
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for recycling and waste removal.
- Educate the public and staff about what the Zoo is currently doing to be Green and about ways we can all strive to be more eco-friendly.
- Develop a sound water conservation plan.
- Create and administer a staff survey to gauge interest and awareness of Green initiatives.
- Expand current recycling efforts to include electronics.
- Cut down on paper use within the Zoo.
